When you give to Creative Aging Network-NC, you support our mission to enhance the well-being of older adults across our state through creative arts programming, education, and training. In addition to our outreach programs in long-term care, recreation centers, and other community settings, we offer a wide array of programming on our 10-acre campus in Greensboro including:
- Art Classes, special series, and workshops in painting, drawing, clay, woodburning, weaving, sewing, and more.
- Art Exhibitions with refreshments that are free and open to the public.
- International Gardening for elders and families in need, especially refugees and immigrants, to grow produce native to their countries to help address food insecurity.
- Special events such as Arts Unbound, annually the first Saturday in May, which is a vibrant community festival highlighting the creative talents and achievements of our aging population; featuring an open house, studio and garden tours, a Native American blessing of our land, drum circle, musical performances, art demonstrations, and an exhibition by artists aged 50 and older.
- Ongoing Building Renovations to bring the building up to date aesthetically and functioning properly for the staff, tenants, and public.
We also travel across the state to provide:
- Training and consulting for healthcare professionals, artists, and arts organizations.
- Educational workshops and interactive presentations for associations, clubs, conferences, and special events.

Help us continue the Elder Arts Initiative
We are also raising money to continue our Elder Arts Initiative (EAI) and any donation will help make that happen. Launched in January 2020 with a 3-year grant from North Carolina Culture Change Coalition in conjunction with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the project provided a variety of creative arts programs to residents in certified nursing homes across North Carolina. With the project completion in 2023, this funding came to an end. In order to continue this valuable work to benefit the well-being of nursing home residents, particularly those who are low income, we need your support. Not gift is too small! Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause!
