A Place of Possibility: Campus Revitalization Campaign

Our building needs work — and our community needs us.

Built in the 1970s, our 12,000+ square foot building needs $250,000 in repairs to stay safe and open: accessibility upgrades, electrical and plumbing work, roof repair, and improved community spaces.

This isn’t just about the building. It’s about retirees finding purpose, caregivers getting a break, people with dementia experiencing joy, and generations learning together.

By 2030, older adults will outnumber children in North Carolina for the first time in history and loneliness is rising for both age groups. More than 3000 studies worldwide show that participatory arts programs reduce social isolation, support brain health, and build connection across generations and cultures.

Thanks to the Buddy Weill Fund at Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro, every community gift is matched — up to $100,000. We’ve received $50,000. We need $100,000 more by December 2027 to reach the full $250,000.

Initial capital gift received $50,000
Matching funds CAN-NC is raising $100,000
Challenge grant released upon match $100,000
Total capital investment $250,000
